Behaviors You’ll Want To Avoid On Your Date

First dates can be nerve wrecking. It’s so easy to lose yourself in the experience that your date might not get a chance to get to know the real you if they are focusing on awkward behaviors that you probably only do when you are nervous. Here’s a few things to avoid.

If you are a performer, DON’T SHOW OFF unless you are asked to. This can make you look like you are trying too hard to impress your date, which is DESPERATE, NEEDY FOR ATTENTION and a TURN-OFF.

DON’T SPOIL YOUR DATE. Many people will often do special things while they are dating and then stop doing them once they are in a comfortable relationship. Do not cater to your partner hand and foot unless you think that you can do so for the rest of your life. Now to be honest, once someone is comfortable with getting a certain kind of special attention, they’ll demand it later, and they’ll become demonstrative even later than that. You’ve created a monster. Try to keep the pleasing and spoiling at a mutually equal level. Give as much as you get.

On the other hand DON’T TREAT YOUR DATE LIKE A SERVANT. It’s nice to think that you are special but no one is special enough to abuse others. If you like to be pampered hand and foot, there are spas and there are fetish clubs you can join. When you are dating from the general dating pool remember that no one owes you anything just to be in your presence. It’s not a healthy way to exist and is one of the biggest TURN-OFFS because of the excessive NEEDINESS. Be GRACEFUL instead. It’s such a TURN-ON.

DON’T IGNORE YOUR DATE. Focus on your date when you are on the date even if things are not going well. No, eying and flirting with other people in the room. This is one of the best ways to flop a date, because it’s a NEEDY attempt to get validation of worth. THIS IS A TURN-OFF!

DON’T GIVE YOUR DATE TOO MUCH ATTENTION (the weird kind). I am talking about the kind of attention would be considered CREEPY. That includes things like, touching in appropriately, staring at them for too long in silence, inviting them over to meet the folks for Christmas.

Always prepare to pay your own way on a date even if your date likes to pay for everything. It puts you in a mental state of CONFIDENCE, which is very ATTRACTIVE. You are sending the message that you WANT to be with them, but you don’t NEED to be with them.
